As most Shepper jobs require our Shepherds to use their smartphones, low battery can be a critical problem. Here are a few tips to minimise battery issues whilst on a job.
Close all unnecessary apps
Having apps that you aren't using running in the background can consume battery power, particularly if they are using your location.
Turn on your phone's low power mode
Most phones now have a 'Low Power Mode' which temporarily reduces power consumption by limiting some of the more demanding features of the device.
Turn on Power Saving Mode in the Shepper Jobs app
We know that the Shepper Jobs app can be a bit of a battery guzzler and we are taking steps to fix this. In the meantime, you can reduce the power consumed by the Shepper Jobs app by turning on Power Saving Mode in the app.
To do this, tap the three lines in the top right-hand corner of the Shepper Jobs app and then tap on 'Settings'.
Towards the bottom of the Settings page, you will find 'Power Saving Mode', turn this on by tapping it.
If all else fails, take a charger!
Portable chargers are incredibly useful if you have several Shepper jobs in a row, and if you don't have one of these, taking a regular charger can also be a lifesaver.
