Installing the app
If you have done jobs for us before, or have signed up to become a Shepherd, you will receive an email from us with your username (the email address you provided when signing up) and a password. Go ahead and log in.
In order for you to be able to perform jobs, you will need to accept sharing your location and access to the camera and microphone. If you don't accept, we can't send you jobs :(
Account settings & availability
Tap 'Account' on the bottom navigation bar to access your account. Here, you can fill in any details that are missing and add an optional photo of your lovely self. Just tap the edit icon (pencil) to the left of the profile photo to make the required changes including changing the temporary password that was issued to you. To add a profile image, just tap the profile image icon and take a new photo or select one from your photo library.
To change your availability for jobs just slide the toggle button to the left or right.
To log out just head to 'Account' on the bottom navigation bar and tap the log out icon to the right of your profile image.
Creating a new pending report
Select 'Job List' from the bottom navigation bar and you will be presented with your primary work area that displays both Pending and Completed jobs in separate tabs.
Tap the + button on the bottom right to create a new report. Enter the Job ID which would have been given to you on the 'Shepper Jobs' app or via email. When finished, tap the 'Create Job' button on the bottom and you will now see the newly created job tile within the 'Pending' tab showing the Job ID, creation date & time, and a counter of the number of media items within it.
The Pending tab lists all reports that are in progress. This allows Shepherds to start a job and come back to it later on. It also allows you to switch between multiple in progress reports at any one time (should you be completing an Inventory and a Condition Report on the same property, for example).
Tip: You can swipe the job tile LEFT to reveal functions to edit the title and to delete the report.
Starting a report & sending
When you are ready to start a report, tap the tile and you will be taken to an empty report preview screen. Simply add either a photo or video by tapping the icons.
Once you've added either a photo or video, you will be taken to the details screen where you are encouraged to add a comment and a status. Once you are happy to continue, tap 'Save' which then brings you back to the preview screen that displays the media item you've added.
You can continue this process and build your report until you have no further images or videos that need to be taken.
Once you are happy with your handy work, simply tap 'Send Report' and that's it! You will be brought back to the Pending screen and will see a percentage loader. Once it hits 100%, the report has been successfully uploaded to our server and it will be moved to the 'Completed' tab.
Tip: To delete a photo or video item just tap the trashcan icon within the relevant media item.
Tip: You can change the order of media items by tap, hold & dragging them.
Managing completed reports
Completed reports and their associated media in this version of the app will be available for a maximum of 24hrs.
There are two options for you when reports are complete: you can either resend the report or you can duplicate it. Both actions can be revealed by swiping LEFT on the completed job tile.
The duplication option is specifically handy if you have forgotten to add a picture or you need to amend a comment. Once you tap 'Duplicate', the report will now again be available in the 'Pending' tab.
